Everyone is different when it comes to books. Some like romance. Some don't. Some like action. Some like both action and romance. I know from my experience of working at a bookshop that recommending a book that someone will genuinely like is hard. For me, it's the hardest part of the job.

Here are some of my recommendations for those that are just looking quickly for something to read by looking at their favourite genres. I would recommend any of these. Click on the title for my review. You can also have a look on my Goodreads page for some more favourites.
NB: If I'm recommending a whole series, I have linked the review to the first book in that series

  1. Hi I'm 12, I have read the Hunger Games series I love sci-fi and I am reading Divergent at the moment and my friend (16) has given me the night circus, do you think I will like it, or is it too complicated.

  2. I think Night Circus would be great for you, especially if you loved The Hunger Games and Divergent. It's more fantasy than sci-fi but it's still an incredible read! Hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think! :)
